Wind Turbines/Chargers, these tend to have two uses, firstly maintaining batteries on boats moored with no shore power connection available. Wind turbines will recharge depleted batteries and keep them topped up ready for your next visiting. The second use for wind chargers is to provide power whilst under sail, removing the need for regular engine or generator running sessions. We only supply Rutland brand wind turbines for the simple reasons, they work and they are well supported by the manufacturer.  

Solar panels, provide similar service to wind turbines, although quite large areas are needed in order to provide more than just trickle charging. 

It is normally recommended to create a hybrid system combining both a wind turbine and some solar where possible, to cover more weather scenarios.
