The FM910-3 incorporates our latest 3-phase alternator, taken from the Rutland 913 design which delivers a further 25% more power than the original model. It retains its basic design which has been proven time and again in the harshest of environments under critical power supply requirements eg. seismic monitoring In Antarctica, communications for Himalayan expeditions
The Furlmatic model has a "furling" device that tilts the turbine horizontally at right angles to the prevailing wind at windspeeds above 35mph. This protects the turbine from the forces of excessive winds and reduces stresses on the turbine and tower.
